35yrs in all aspects of manufacturing from the floor to corporate positions. I was laid off with a few others because of Trumpism and a new plant manager wanted to put his little to zero experience family and drinking buddies in my position and other career positions. Corporate was devastated but knew they couldn't call us back because of possible legal liabilities against them. Louisiana is an At Will employment state. Then COVID hit. My career has been ruined. Im stupidly over qualified. I'll never get another job. I've lost everything. The rundown house I saved years for a down payment to replace, that dream is wiped out and now I'm on the verge if losing my rundown fallen apart house. Everything I've worked for. Everything I've done for my community, gone.
