It is people going "off script" who are most effective. Was not Zelensky refusing a ride out of Ukraine and requesting military assistance an "off script" moment? The script is appeasement and half measures. When Ronald Reagan said "tear down this wall" he was off script.

Joe, All your years of experience have paid off. Your speech in Poland was strong and compassionate. I wanted to see your talking to the refugees but I missed it. I did see a picture or two of you kissing a little girl and hugging a woman. You are such a sweetheart of a president. I am sooo glad you are president and not Trump.

A stunning speech from Biden. At home be seen as sleepy but at this time of darkness and tragedy, Joe Biden has stepped up to the plate. An address to the world that is as good as anything Churchill delivered. Well done and thank you for standing so strongly with Poland and Ukraine. This will be remembered forever.
