Nusa Penida is a short ferry away from Bali and should be on everyone’s itinerary. Many people come here as a day trip, but I highly recommend staying on the island if you have time.

Everything on the island is very far apart, so I would recommend 2-3 days to see everything and have some relax time. Geographically things seem close, but the roads are bad and there is not a coastal road so you have to constantly drive back to the centre of the island.

That being said it is worth it! I have included the highlights of the north and south in this post. The south part of the island has the famous Diamond Beach and Rumah Pohon treehouse. The north has the highly recognizable Kelingking Beach, Angels Billabong and Broken Beach. Wherever you go watch out for the Manta rays that Penida is famous for.

To keep costs lower definitely rent a scooter and explore yourself, otherwise add at least $55usd to hire a driver for the day. This can obviously be split between more than 1 person.
