I have been told by a pizza delivery person that I started an argument between three folks because I put, in the instructions for address field, 'warning, very friendly corgi.'

They all wanted to see the corgi but only one, the delivery person who came, got to. They were happy though.

As someone that works at a restaurant I can confirm requests come in like this every now and then and that you get lucky if one person is in the mood to play along.

once as a kid I ordered pizza on the phone for myself and my brother and I sheepishly requested that the delivery guy could do a quote from pokemon so I knew it was them and not some creepy person. This guy knocked on the door, saw that our window was cracked open and began reciting the Team Rocket motto. He must have been like 17 or so. Anyway, he said that if we ever felt like we needed someone to swing by because we got scared or anything, to give them a call and request the Squirtle Squad. We never had to call the Squirtle Squad, but we did order pizza from them again.

This reminds me of this time when I was in middle school, me and my friend ordered pizza and asked them to draw Batman on the box. Lo and behold, when we opened the box, they'd drawn a chibi batman on the inside. He was adorable and we were so excited lmao.

I order from Wok Box every other week. I once ordered an extra Ginger Soy Egg to go with my noodles because I liked the flavour and extra protein, and found that they put it a separate plastic container instead of straight in the noodle box.
I understand if this might be standard procedure, but I find this a waste of plastic materials.
So whenever I order for that extra Ginger Soy Egg now, I also ask in the notes, verbatim:
"Please put the extra Ginger Soy Egg in the noodle box. Thank you."
This request has never failed me since, and one of the guys actually reassured me that he put the egg in box one time when I picked up my order.
Granted, I also tip 20% so I can't tell if it's my politeness or my money getting through. XD
