Ghosts of Windsor Castle | English Folklore

Welcome to my channel! Here you'll find folklore from across the British Isles. In this video, I take a look at the ghosts the haunt the royal residence of Windsor Castle in Berkshire. One of the most impressive castles in England, Windsor boasts around 25 ghosts, including the spirits of Elizabeth I, Henry VIII, Anne Boleyn, Charles I, George III, and Queen Victoria. The footage I use is from my trip to the south in 2019.

I used to love walking to Windsor Castle from my home in Slough, when I was a kid. Entry was free then, and the walk was made more exciting by the fact that we would be trespassing nearly all the way - rifle range, railway land, the grounds of Eton College etc.
Never saw any ghosts.

When I first moved to England, Windsor Castle was the first castle I went to see. And when my dad visited me for the first time, this was the very first place we took him. He loved it

The ghosts in Windsor Castle could have had a good time with Elizabeth And Margaret during the War as they could have prepared her for her ascension to the Throne.

Amazing place, looks huge! I wonder if any of the royal ghosts really resemble their paintings? I think Elizabeth I would look quite scary as a ghost, it'd be great to actually see her though. Love the vid, thanks!👍🏻😊

If I ever encounter the ghost of Elizabeth or any Royals I wouldn’t be surprised I would just start up a conversation with them.
