Marius Leicht - Oddity 3 Improvisations

in October 2022 we invited the supremely talented Marius Leicht to our studio to record a couple of iconic vintage synthesisers for his forthcoming project.

These sessions took place over several days (and nights) and when finished, we asked him to improvise with some Oddity 3 patches prior to its release. This was the first time Marius had seen or played Oddity 3 and any slider adjustments made on the keyboard controlled the new Macros feature.

Oddity 2 was one of my most used soft synths, the project I just submitted had it all over it. But this update… it just slays. It gives me that hardware feeling where I’m instantly connected to the sound coming out, emotionally, no matter what kind of patch I’m dialing in. There’s only a handful of soft synths I feel that way about and Gforce is topping that short list for me. Beautiful demo, beautiful synth!

I love Marius. I like like anything he plays, it just tickles my mind, even if just a VST vs Hardware comparison. I hope he has great success with his new album. Great playing of a fantastic new VI, which I bought right away, even as a hobbyist... why should the pros have it all?!. What a golden age of syntheses we live in. Folks, I know absolutely nothing about VSTs. I have a MacBook Pro computer. I have a few hardware synths: Korg Kronos2, a Korg M3 ( both 88 keys) and a little Korg X5D. My question is if I buy this software, what else do I need to get it to work? Is it as simple as downloading to my Mac and then run a USB cord from the Mac to to my Kronos? Any help would be much appreciated.
