ABBA-The Singles: The First Fifty Years-A HUGE disappointment at 100 GBP (110€). ZERO THOUGHT WENT INTO THE PRESESENTATION OF THIS BOX OF RUBBISH. I hope Universal Music sees this video or if you know someone at Universal who cares, show them this video.

The emphasis on "tw*t" got me. 😂 Those red pages could have at least been used for lyrics, period-specific photos, or something! Also, the photos in the booklet are just all over the place, chronologically. No "Thank You For The Music" on the track listing. Very poor package all-in-all. The mind boggles!

those people there in Universal who do the marketing seem to be so unimaginative!btw album peaked at no13 in UK midweek album charts.Suddenly the ABBA GOLD collection got lost out of sight from the whole top 100!Unbelievable.

The empty pages are especially dreadfull because the whole package doesn't include any picture of the Super Trouper / The Visitors or Voyage period, even for 1979 only two backstage pictures are available...

I can't believe in Australia, the cd is already not available in most stores, told by our major electronics/DVD/CD store it was unavailable now, a limited release & only available online... Crazy, only two weeks after release. Hope all well Diego..

I think its a shame not more was done in terms of special releases to celebrate ABBA's 50th waterloo anniversary, compared to the 40th it has been a real let down. What also annoys me about this release is no photos from the Voyage photo sessions 😕

Completely agree with you on this @ABBADiego. Universal's latest ABBA release is truly dreadful. Dreadful cover picture, dreadful text/font and overall design. Also, the tracklisting is very odd: we have 'Hasta Manana', but no 'Thank You For The Music', 'On And On And On', or 'The Visitors'. We have the full-length version of 'Eagle', when the edited version was released as singles. Clearly put together by someone on work experience, with no regard for ABBA's history or legacy. I expect better from Universal; especially for ABBA's 50th anniversary of Waterloo. Whoever is in charge of ABBA at Universal needs sacking! Why not just release ABBA's classic compilations: 'Greatest Hits' (1975/76), 'Greatest Hits Vol. 2' (1979), 'The Singles - The First Ten Years' (1982), and 'More ABBA Gold' (1993).

Maybe a new ABBA (MORE-GOLD or) GOLD II release with the addition of the 2-3 new singles and some new tracklist could have been a wiser move and poss.more exciting.And Songs such as 'Slipping through my fingers/Move On/IFWFTN could have been listed too in it.Universal's marketing is rather defective anyway imo.

As a lifelong ABBA fan I totally agree. I even hate the ugly cover picture.
I just don't understand how/how B & B signed off on it, if indeed they did.

btw the private Abba vynils that u Diego design and order are far more creative and of a beautiful artwork than those empty pages.I mean, C'm ooon Universal, what the heck u people there!?

Should have had a comprehensive photo collection covering a full 50 years including iconic album covers and examples of memeroabilia etc to fill out all those glaring red pages.

Especially for the price they're asking for the vinyl set. Its price stopped me buying it. 😢

In the Full Week's UK Chart, for W/E 7th November 2024, 'The Singles' went in at No.17, with 6, 099 Sales. It was given the Streams, from the 18 'ABBA Gold' Tracks on it. This caused 'ABBA Gold' to fall out of the entire UK Top 200, from No.23. However, in Week 2, Universal realised, that there was not much UK interest, in 'The Singles', so they asked the UK Charts Company to let 'ABBA Gold' have all of its Streams back. This caused 'The Singles', to fall off, the UK top 200, after just 1 Week, and 'Gold' Re-Entered at No.19. So, 'The Singles' only Charted for 1 Week, and it has sold very badly. Not just in the UK, but Globally. It was a disastrous, pointless, silly, Release. Doomed, because it had not a Note of 'New' Music on it...

I’m still deciding on whether to buy this latest compilation but I’m sick of the same old thing from Universal with nothing new for fans.. The packaging & layout are a disgrace.. Agree Diego another wasted opportunity….
