Change the ear plugs to the ones with wings in the little bag and you will see a nice decrease in external sound AND they are also easier to put in your ears versus the other clunky ones! I use them now on my Motorcycle rides.

I agree with the connectivity issue though, I've run into that too. Its not an issue most of the time, but when it does pop up it is a pain.

I have a bizarre question with regard to application of these, would really appreciate your opinion! I'm a very light sleeping but I go to hostels very often when I travel, so often if there's a snorer I can't sleep (if they're loud enough to hear over standard earplugs).

However I was thinking to use one of these and play some ambient sounds to block out the noise further (I've tried this with standard earphones but those obviously have more noise spillage and less isolation; and headphones are not appropriate for sleeping). Obviously snoring is less noise than power tools: so do you think they would suffice for this?
