I had a Russian teacher named mrs aksana in grade 4, she taught me this song and we would practice piano and violin and I would play edgy songs like secret (the pretty little liars theme song) and come little children

I got the incredible opportunity to see the US Broadway performance tonight and considering the venue, it was a remarkable show. This song is definitely going into one of my YouTube playlists.

When I was in year 3 of elementary school, me and some of my classmates had to learn this song by heart since we would need to sing it during a scene play in our school. The play didn't occur, however, since our teacher left our school.
But the memories of this song always remained with me, and listening to this song (especially after learning the context behind it in the original movie) leaves me with a sense of nostalgia and a sort of sadness that is really hard to translate into words.
Both being happy about the good times that you've had in your past and lamenting the fact that they are, well, in the past, I suppose.

This gives me nostalgia, because I was in a choir during sixth grade, and I had this winter concert that was about to be canceled, but then my teacher decided to schedule it on 14 December, and me and my class were practicing the songs we were supposed to sing. first we had to sing “once upon a December”, “Sleigh Bells” and “like it’s Christmas” so the day of the concert I was really nervous, but then one of my friends came up to me and said that I would be fine and I would do great. so me and my class sang the songs and we did pretty good. let’s just say this song is our favorite and it’s still my favorite Christmas song till this day❤
