“Because anyone else would’ve been electrocuted or blown up by one of my traps. Hehehehehe.”

Bill knew how to survive. Frank knew how to live.

“I'm old, I'm satisfied, and you were my purpose." this line got me good, it got me good. Then “on the nature of daylight” hit, all emotions broke loose.

Murray Bartlett is so unrecognizable between this and White Lotus. He is so good and I hope people give him the recognition he deserves. This episode broke my heart. I always want more Pedro but this was amazing and sad and so heartfelt. Thank you HBO for not being afraid to tell this story.

That's just amazing how good they managed to open up Bill's personality in one single episode. The first two episodes were very close to the game, while the third one added huge changes to the storyline of the side character. I'm so excited to see Henry and Sam storyline

Offerman's "strawberry giggle" is a thing of beauty.

The moment with the strawberries was so well done. The laugh after not having one in idk how many years. Almost like how ridiculous (in a good way) that they are actually able to eat them again. Such a cool moment.

the fact that a single episode where they introduce 2 new characters and span 20 years through the episode builds more connection and bond to the viewer and characters than the walking dead can do in 5 seasons. They both deserve Emmy awards. One of the best episode i have ever seen in a show ever. Good job both of you.

Murray’s tears during the first kiss, and Bill’s words at the end: “I’m old. I’m satisfied. And you were my purpose.” The endless emotion of that first hug, the depth of those simple words are awesome, , in the most profound and generous meaning of the word.

Nick Offerman and Murray Bartlett deserve Emmys for this episode. Just a masterclass in beautiful storytelling, character development and overall tv

Wow. Craig and the team understand precisely what makes The Last of Us so special. What an incredible and poignant addition to the story

Definitely one that either Murray or Nick should win an Emmy or Golden Globe for.
Heart wrenching but also heart warming

2:11 Nick Offerman's laugh here brought me to tears. Who else thinks he deserves an Emmy for his incredible performance this episode?

This is a post-apocalyptic zombie show, it had no right to make me cry as much as it did. So pure and so full of heart.

"when should we deviate from the game, if its kinda the same or worse, we stay where the game is, if it's better, we deviate" and they sure did with this episode god damn it was amazing!

I was sobbing like a baby during this episode, it's so beautiful even though it's different from the game, it's different in a good way. Probably one of the best love stories that I've seen in a long time.

I love that it was there own choice to go out the way they did. In this series, a lot of people's lives get taken from them. It is so powerful in this dangerous world that they had a different choice. That people got to have a life and have love. It makes it more powerful to me. That the human side to all of us is never really gone. ❤️

That part with the note was such a gut punch. I thought it was a little on-the-nose until it said “keep Tess safe, ” re-contextualizing the note as something tragic and a reminder of what he owes Tess in keeping Ellie safe.

I'm surprised and actually pleased how they changed Bill's storyline. I can understand why some viewers would object to the big changes. Nevertheless, I'm actually okay with the deviation and expansion of Bill and Frank's story. Considering how many people are suffering and dying in horrible ways in a world full of Infected and Hunters, Bill and Frank are fortunate to be able to leave the world peacefully together. Compared to the original game, Bill and Frank got a much more fulfilling and hopeful ending to their story arc.
