That's crazy you need to find another Grading Company that will regrade your coins but keep them in the PCGS cases and put their case over the PCGS case😂 most of them the coins don't need to be handled to see what's wrong right ? But I'm really glad I'm seeing this I now have to rethink things I was just about to pay the $240 for the annual fee and submit my first set of coins ever now I'm really confused because that could really add some value to your coins coins with mess-ups like that

I have been in the hobby since before the grading outfits existed. When they first appeared many people put zero faith into them and the majority of serious collectors knew how to grade. Of course, back then, you didn’t have to distinguish between a 63 and a 64. I don’t want to type all day here but one point I would like to make is PCGS and NGC grade very differently between the retail guy/gal sending in 8 coins and the large houses (I won’t name names) who send in hundreds of raw submissions or reholdering. Lastly, if you hold any ICG slabs from their first year or two they may be the toughest graded of them all.

I’m sure you requested the varieties and paid for them…but if not then they will not attribute them. I also have a old 1969 mint set that looks to have some environmental issues…. The mint was crap in those years. Good luck. Thanks for sharing.

that's why i stopped sending my coin collection to PCGS 👈 their grading is being done by a non professional, they put grades in your coins depends on the mood of the grader and not what your coin suppose to get... its a total waste of your money to use their service..

I have always felt that these commercial "Grading Services" were a SCAM from the beginning. And responsible for rammpid grade-flation.
I almost never buy graded coins. And only send out a coin IF the buyer demands it. Then I get my price up front!

For that exact reason people with very very valuable coins are hesitant to ship them over. I would rather do a walk in service where the expert from those companies do will grading on the spot in front of me.
