Never show loyalty to a company. They will lay you off in a heartbeat. You are nothing to them and they have taken away just about all perks. These young kids in the workforce have it right… jump from company to company to find what fits your needs and lifestyle.

I had farmers insurance. I was sued for $90, 000 and they did nothing and they were obligated to pay for it.

They terminated me by leaving a voicemail to call a disconnected number. Since I worked nights and didn’t have a farmers computer with me since I do all my work in the office I called my supervisor. He wouldn’t confirm or deny whether or not I was terminated. I spent an hour on the phone with Human Resources to find out I was terminated. The day before being terminated my supervisor said I would be training for a new position…wtf

Was with the company for almost 8 years.

Was told to join a web video with important news. CEO came on and said they were cutting 11% of entire workforce and we had to wait for an email following the web video to see if we even had a job after.

Waited for about an hour for that email only to say my job was impacted and that day was my last working day. Lost access to systems shortly after.

I was there for them through hurricane Harvey working almost 80 hr weeks and the Covid disaster and many other events and this was a total cowardly blindside from them

Can't trust companies, and you have to live below your means and save money. That or own your own business.

Not surprised at all. I used to work for Farmers 1992 to 2009. Glad I was there for my Profit Sharing $$$ because those days are over. Seems like a really cutthroat company now.

Well unfortunately when it comes to working for other business and push comes to shove, if they have a choice between layoffs and keeping the lights on most of the time they choose to layoff people.
