I love the simple, yet perfectly informative style of your videos.

Here's the thing, powerscaling works like this "whos my favorite character? Who do i like more than the others? And ima say hes boundless cause hes ny favoritism character. And i can use fallacy for an argument and no fallacy falls under my favorite character." Boom, i jist described powercsaling and vs debates

I always hear the nothing with mass can move at light speed

Damn, reminds me of my "theres only 1 speed category" argument

You're right. I don't understand FTL+ limits. You got a great video. And a great series too.

People still coping about Shinra having immeasurable speed in 2023 is wild to me

That Superman panel reminds me how much I like the Infinite Mass Punch, it's one of those rare, extremely rare cases in which both special relativity and classic physics are allowed in a verse simultaneously.

But in the case of Fire Force world, the first statement (that you described as 🤓) is true because after The Great cataclysm changed rules of physics, just like in Soul Eater. This means that in this particular world, things that happen with Shinra when he starts going ftl would happen with every other character who achieves ftl speed

This is a good overall explanation EXCEPT for the "if x fictional character existed in the FF verse", if say for an example Goku existed in this specific verse then yes he would be subject to that verses differing physics and planck lengths.

This doesn't prove that the planck constant has been changed for that universe. Since the colours of things such as the leaves on trees (which are shown to become carbon when fully oxidised) are green in these stories. Since the colour of atoms are based off their electron energy levels and that is based of the planck constant, any small change to that constant changes the colour of all atoms, which have been shown to be the same as our universe. This realistically speaking means that the author didn't think about physics at all when making a faster than light character and so you cannot use physics calculations from that fictional universe as the physics is undetermined.
So please stop picking and choosing what physics you want to apply to your fictional character wank-offs and apply limits to things which are stupid.

Or, alternatively, FTL in battle fiction is usually just bs to hype the character using a cool sounding statement that doesn't actually mean anything beyond "very fast".

This is exactly how I feel on mha and fire forces insane speeds, Deku moving so fast he’s warping reality or the laws of physics depending on what translations you use, and Shinra’s time travelling ftl speeds.

I read bad and thought this was an undertale debunk 😭

Then all these FTL characters will be much weaker?

The Planck constant is used with other constants to define the kilogram, mass itself would be different.

So someone that weight 70 kg could be like a few grams in a more accurate verse.

Making all of their feats outside says-verse ridiculously weak.

To sum it up it, guys it’s all about context never forget it.

Immeasurable speed is not a real speed anyways. Speed is moving through space in an amount of time, since negative time does not and logically cannot exist the fastest speed is moving a distance in zero time. Time traveling via speed can be initiated at any speed in fiction (88 mph does fine in Back to the Future) and is not itself a speed. Also if we're talking about traveling to the future with speed alone that's just called time dilation and it happens at all speeds.

100% agree
the only fictional universe to apply the concept or hypothetical correctly when it comes to ftl is the xelee sequence.

So this doesn't disprove what the actual statement is 💀. The threshold being higher in their verse is irrelevant since FTL is the threshold in FF and anyone in FF who is FTL would do the same. Therefore if you bring another FTL character in FF they would also move at immeasurable speed.
