This is the last MG section in SR other than MTP-OOTY. SR has the best development pace. 13 years nly for almost entire TN to be made BG. in 1996 only MAS-AJJ-CBE, AJJ-RU, TPJ-Karur, MAS-BZA was BG. else full was MG.

Yes, MAS-CBE is a part of MAQ line. Having MG doesn't mean a zone is under developed. Britishers built BG lines where they thought the traffic was more(where more heavy goods were needed to be moved, near ports etc) and MG lines where traffic was less and mainly passenger traffic.
