I’ve been hit with what was referred to as “pecker poles” by some co workers in the wild land firefighting co. I worked for… it’s a juvenile birch tree about 15-20ft tall, smacked me on top of the hard hat, bounced off and I swear it felt like the damn great khali hammer fisted my back, almost went to the ground…my hard hat cracked and I had gained a new respect for them and little trees…
I think the scariest part of it all is that I didn’t even hear it falling. I was just suddenly half way to the ground 😅
