Boston makes adjustments to St. Patrick's Day Parade

Organizers of the South Boston St. Patrick's Day Parade are hoping to avoid the chaos from last year.

It wasnt real southie people. We held a privately funded parade for a century before gentrification and nary a problem. But now its a safer option for young urban professionals than say cheaper but a more diverse areas. Thats why long before the perfect storm of gentrification, loss of political and yes organized crime clout, the opioid epidemic and Good Will Hunting, southie was a low key favorite of single women and gay men. For young straight men it was a less appealing option because you would get knocked out if you stepped out of line. But rape was unheard of, as was muggings, residential burglaries etc.
