Robert F Kennedy Jr has vowed to “clean up corruption” and provide Americans with “transparency” as the next Secretary for the United States Department of Health and Human Services.
President-elect Donald Trump announced on Thursday (US time) that the 70-year-old will lead the top health agency.
Trump claimed Americans had been "crushed" by the industrial food complex and drug companies, alleging they had engaged in deception and misinformation.
"The Safety and Health of all Americans is the most important role of any Administration, and HHS will play a big role in helping ensure that everybody will be protected from harmful chemicals, pollutants, pesticides, pharmaceutical products, and food additives that have contributed to the overwhelming Health Crisis," he said.
RFK Jr thanked Trump with a post on X, vowing to “Make America Healthy Again”.
“My commitment to the American people is to be an honest public servant. Let’s go!”
