@deppressed1 I would believe so. Most of my own students taking Calculus at the moment are not struggling with the Claculus itself, it is the Algebra that is giving them problems. Secondly it is their dependency on thos calculators! And of course trigonometry presents another issue especially if they are unable to navigate around the Unit Circle.
