2024 BEST RUNNING SHOES FOR EACH DISTANCE - 5K, 10K, HALF & FULL MARATHON - EDDBUD

Today i list my top 3 running shoe options ( in no particular order ) for each popular race distance on the roads. From the all out effort of the 5k, to the more demanding distance of the 10k. The threshold effort requirements of the half marathon and the endurance and forgiving needs of the full marathon.

I give you my top choices for each distance based on my experiences in the shoes. These are the shoes i feel give the best overall feel over the particular distance, at least for my needs.

Some of these have bought me some PB's this year and others i hope will drive me onto some new records in 2025.

Hoka Rocket X2 is a marathon and 1/2 marathon winner for me! I’ve also been going back to my VaperFly 1’s and the Nitro Elite 1’s for 5k & 10k’s. Responsive and durable, never let me down!

I've found the Hoka Rocket X2 to be just superb for Half Marathons. Responsive, comfortable and with a great race rocker. For Marathons I've always favoured the Adidas Adizero Pro 3, it's a shoe that needs some tinkering but once you get it right it hits the spot every time soI'm really looking forward to the Pro 4.

Great vid as always Ed, I'm a slow runner, though been loving using the Alphafly V1 for 5k, 10k & Half Marathon distances. Comfortable, cushioned, protecting & propelling shoe throughout.
Vaporfly V2 aswell in the past for 5k's as theyre super light, propulsive & come in nice colour schemes. Love your vids in general, soothing & relaxing, Thanks Edd 👍
