The Intellectual Wasteland of Twitch Policy

Twitch has struggled with credibility in terms of policy clarity and enforcement for a long time... but the most recent trust and safety update with a committee of streamers to help contribute to future decisions was tainted and destroys by their broadcaster choices, and the subsequent reactions.

Twitch is no small company.. owned by Amazon, it has with no lack of certainty, plenty of resources to solve these problems... they are just deliberately choosing not to, and opting instead to nominate players who spit in the face of the gaming community that has long formed the foundation of the platform.

In competetive from league of legends. Look at the last winers of worlds. They literally had a team win that where NOT the best players. But they had INSANE strategy. Yeah you need voice chat for that.

Has nobody realised yet that when corporate uses buzzwords, that the intent of those buzzwords is EXACTLY the opposite?
Examples;
Empowerment = Actually disempowering the userbase
Inclusivity = Exclusion of the core audiance
Diversity = Less diversity by forcefully pruning the core audiance and silencing dissent

Here's a funfact, I used to think that this was done due to incompetence rather than malice, untill I did my research about the people behind these changes. They do this because they want to continue the ongoing explotation of your whole life. Divide and conquer while the real battles are fought in courts with no coverage or resistance untill we are all chained to a debt to which we are born with and will die with.

When I was younger I suffered a lot from social anxiety, and getting out of that was very much due to voice chat in online games. It allowed me to have a fairly safe place to improve social interaction. The fact that there's people advocating for removing that feature, because they don't sound like they want to, is so selfish I don't even know where to start. It's the one feature that let's us express ourselves in a natural way in online games, and see each other as real people not just avatars in a game.
