Ableton Live Keyboard and Tracks Rig for Worship

Показать описание
In this video Ashton covers step by step how to build a worship keyboard rig that plays in Ableton Live simultaneously with click and backing tracks. This keyboard rig is extremely powerful because well, Ableton is really powerful. Using Sunday Keys as a starting point, you can automate virtually anything about your piano so that any sound changes you want will happen in real time, live with Ableton. It's pretty neat.

Enjoy the video! And smash that like button, or I will have to ground you!

Native instruments is another great resource for sounds they work seamlessly with Ableton.

Love this. I've been a fully hardware guy for 25 years at my church. I play keys and guitar. NOW I've purchased live standard, Komplete Kontrol s88 MIDI controller also using plugins for my guitar running through Ableton live. This is so cool and the sounds I build are bigger the my, Roland fantom G8 and Jupiter 80. Now I'm trying to learn everything you just made this video about, BUT I'm PC no Mac here :( at my church I also only have one output for myself so I have to use Ableton to play guitar and keys at the same time.

Awesome vid. I've been using Mainstage for the last two years but something tells me I should consider switching over to Ableton

I'd recommend using an instrument rack for your basic piano so you don't have to create three empty midi tracks @ 6:10 :)

Great Video - thank you. Could I request that you add a layer to this topic by doing the same with cues for ProPresenter also in your full set as you go from song to song?

Really enjoyed the video! I've been running my keys setup on Ableton since pretty much the beginning, and it's so nice that there is just so much more power. Additionally, once you start getting into song specific patches for Ableton from places like Multitracks.com, it just blows my mind.

This is probably really far fetched, but…we are running a worship team with me (keys) and some drums. Is it possible for me to run our backing tracks, my keys, and our click all at the same time using ableton? This would mean having to have to separate outputs, one with click and one without click.
Is this even possible?

It sounds good but I’m just worried about it being too difficult for my keys players. MainStage with SundayKeys is already too daunting for most of them.

Every once in a while, our band gets away from the click and we have to kill the tracks. How would that affect the piano tones? Will it turn them off? Very very cool and informative video

So my question is, can you use Ableton to run tracks and also the full live band, not just keyboards? Say my guitarist uses amplitube or any software, maybe even process vocals, bass... kind of using the laptop as a backing track setup and mix (just for inears) or is that just to much to ask?

Can you do a video comparing Dante and using Audio interfaces ? Trying to figure out if it’s worth switching over to Dante.

I've been following thus channel for a while and it's been helping me out so much! I'm using Ableton for live looping guitars, bass, synthesizer and various other instruments. I'm using my Apollo twin and using my MIDI footswitch for easy accessibility and looping. My question is how can I get the best possible sound when I plug in through my PA? Should I be routing my instruments two different outputs? Should I use multiple computers? Should I get a DIY rig? Should I also be playing with my amps?Got any suggestions here for my output sound?

Is there a way to lay out ALL of the songs your church does in a single project file, set it all up in arrangement view with backing tracks, automation, etc, and THEN set play sections in session view so you could rearrange your setlist on the fly? Maybe even move transitions around and stick them between songs?

If that's not ideal/possible, is there a simple way to rearrange a setlist?? Thanks!

Are you using samples in the Rack or VST instruments like Serum, Omnishpere, Phaseplant etc?

What about worship tech school, is that still coming? I’m not a worship leader, I’m the tech but this stuff is all new to us. Can I still sign up for worship leader school?
