I just bought the LG Ultra Slim Portable DVD WRITER but didn't realize it doesn't come with a remote control til I got home. I also have an LG "32LG005" TV 📺. Can I use THAT remote to control the external DVD player if I connect it to the TV? If I can't, then I'll just return the DVD player, cuz there's no point in having it connected to my TV if I can't or access the "bonus features" on the DVD.

It won't work if you use a CAT5E cable, You must use the wif-fi to conect the TV to the internet and then the magic remote will register !
