Putrescent Knight Lore in #eldenring Shadow of the Erdtree

The Putrescent Knight of Shadow of the Erdtree is what became of the putrsecent flesh locked within stone coffins that imbibed the nectar of St. Trina giving it eternal rest. However, the flesh became the Knight of St. Trina and serves as her guard at the bottom of the Stone Coffin Fissure. This monster takes the form of a calvary knight atop a horse and wields a large curved cleaver made of hardened putrescent flesh and bones which it swings with ease to tear foes asunder. It’s steed can act independently and they will often attack you in tandem. In its second phase, the Putrescent Knight summons large swathes of deadly ghost flame which cover large areas of the battlefield to damage and freeze you. Once the knight is defeated, we are able to approach the mysterious St. Trina.

There are many other easter eggs, references, and callbacks to Berserk in Elden Ring and From Software games including nods to Guts, the Dragonslayer, Berserker Armor, Griffith, the Godhand, and Apostles. Be sure to follow and subscribe for weekly Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree and Berserk videos.
