Man when used with intention such simple things make an experience out of a song. All these techniques are so present in g Jones’s music

There was one specific track that used the simple delay in the last bit om an amen break just before the drop. And I just couldn't find out how they did it... Lol such a simple but great trick. I thought they chopped it up so much and used much more processing.

Thanks for this one short vid!

The reverse will always sound good for amen breaks 🥵

Band pass with a slow tri/sine LFO is fun, especially if the LFO isn't sync'd to the beat or is sync'd but to a different time signature. Makes room for other drums or whatever else and adds a lot of variation without much effort. Also finger drumming breaks (with some slices reversed, stretched etc in advance) is a fun way to come up with new patterns and generally a useful time saver.

Plug’s groundbreaking ‘96 “Drum’n’Bass for Papa” album puts these types of tricks to great use. Definitely worth checking out if you haven’t heard it!

Time stretching is also great when you use the re-pitch warp mode

Copy track, reverse, add reverb, un reverse track. Now that’s a sick trick.

I use a bitcrusher and a splice the break ALOT
And sometimes add a chorus and a limiter or filter for drums
Sounds amazing imo check out some of my stuff in my breakcore playlist

I do like a Flanger. Also the classic pitch change on a snare roll.
