Hello! I'm Andy and this is my video log of designing and building the cheapest most modular and easy to fix, diagnose and build power wall. Watch my latest videos for updates and ask any questions if you're not sure.

Thanks for watching!

Definitely keep us posted on your findings regarding the high drain BMS. This is an area that we need to find a simple and inexpensive solution. Not everyone can afford to pay for a Batrium set up. Thanks Andy

Need help locating the MOSFETs used on most BMS boards. Mine has K150E10NE but can not find any local(US) distributors for the replacement of bad fets. Nor can I find a spec sheet for using an alternative devices.

and idea i had was remove the resister run a relay that switch on a heavy duty load for that cell for balancing

That's a bit brutal relying on the Vce Sat to act as a dump load!

So they are using the balance only as a sort of control board or transistor driver? I thought about doing something like this. With a bms board. Using the board to drive a MOSFET array. To pass the battery current. 300a+, for the low voltage/ high voltage shutoff. I think I saw a guy just put slightly lower ohm resistor and maybe used a couple of those ballance only boards. If someone could fund a way to use the baitrium cell monitor/ balancers without the other part if the system. They are only about $15 per cell and can do like 3 amps balance current. I love electronic engineering type videos. I had the crazy idea to build a inverter and/or a DC motor controller for 72-96v and like 800 amps. And I knew nothing at the time. I still know little. I do know now that transistor isn't trann's sister! So I learnt a lil bit. I would atleast checkout the baitrium site. They have a smaller system for EV conversions. Considering the price of batteries a baitrium isn't that expensive. I still hate to spend that on a bms. I could buy batteries with that cash!

Hey man, have you seen Adam welch channel? He test cheap mppt controllers. And built a 7s arduino BMS. I just noticed your email . I'll get back soon.

I'm working on it. waiting for mj2955 pnp transistors. If anyone knows were i can get them faster in canada let me know!
