Republicans are putting out their spin about Kavanaugh but his performance at the hearing was extremely inappropriate for a judge. He was evasive and disrespectful. He could lose his current position as a result of his conduct.

Kavanaugh committed perjury under oath in previous hearings, he lied about his behavior, and he showed obvious partisanship in his opening statement. These allegations of abuse aside, he is an unfit candidate for the highest court of the land AND for his current seat. I was more than willing to give the guy his presumption of innocence until proven guilty, but he lies even about the small things. If Professor Ford came into the hearing as angry and unhinged as Kavanaugh she would have been deemed non-credible. But she was way more composed given the circumstances and she was an overall better witness. If you take away his belligerent opening statement his testimony was awkward and bungled to the point he had to be rescued by Graham and Grassley.
