While I appreciate the video, it's just explaining what an IP address is and how dhcp works. There was no information given about the pros and cons of static vs dynamic and why someone would choose one over the other. The video could maybe use a more accurate title.

question :if i assigned a static ip to my device, then how will it use wifi network at various locations to get connected to internet ? I mean the first two chunks of ipv4 are network address. so how will it be directed to the current network in which my device is in ?

i have many devices connected to my router. Then i connected a switch and 2 repeaters. Some devices will connect but i has no internet feed. i suspect my router struggles to assign dynamic ip to my several devices. I configure my no internet devices to static ip and it solves the problem. Was my suspicious correct? Thank buddy
