As a public broadcaster I find it disgraceful that you shut the comments off on certain videos and not others. Are you scared the population doesn’t support your agenda?

Very fair to the 1st line workers. No benefit, more cost on gas and PPE, I guess I will see more tax coming too.

Self Employed home businesses can claim expenses, that should also apply to anyone that works from home. If the CRA does not allow this. It's only because they don't want to lose revenue that they'll just piss away anyways. As for CBC Not allowing comments on most of their videos. That's something that everyone can write to their MP's about, Force the issue, or stop watch them completely.

What about those who are essential services, who have risked their health every day going into work?

As a former self employed individual, I would recommend talking to an accountant before claiming a portion of your home as business space as it could affect taxes on the sale of the house in the future.

This depends on the employer. Were you required to work from home as a condition of your employment? Did the employer give you an option to work from home?

Did the employer provide you with equipment and provide a stipend for incidentals?

Do you have a separate space from which to work? There is a document the employer has to sign.

Then there are other issues. If you are required to work from home as a condition of employment is your home an extension of the office? Are you a contractor or an employee? If you fall out of your office chair are you covered by WorkSafe?

I don't think many employers would require employees working from home to meet clients there. That opens up so many problems.

Just because thousands applied this credit, doesn't mean they were entitled to it.

Remember, you can write off anything you want on your taxes just be prepared to pay it back with interest if it is denied.

That's not good, as millions are working from home. The government already has a large deficit, won't it be a disaster if people pay less taxes?

Really? This is more important than what is happening to Uyghur women in Xinjiang, and re-educated Uyghur being sent as slave labourers to Chinese clothing factories?.

Should be for people forced to still go into work. This is ridiculous.
