I just had mine January 18th. I am feeling good and looking forward to my TEE in six weeks. I am 71 years old and have been a hiker, rock climber and trekker. I look forward to returning to a more normal life after my ablation 8 months ago and now the Watchman device. Amazing to live in a country where these advances in medical science are available. I am blessed.

I don’t have the FLX. I had the Watchman implanted on 7/1/2019, before the FLX was widely used. Best thing I’ve ever done.

Just had the device implanted two days ago. Nov 18th. All went well and looking forward to a continued active lifestyle. I'm a 57 year old male. If you are a candidate for this procedure, DO IT.

Just had mine done on Nov 14th. I had to get off the blood thinners. Was out of the hospital the next day. Don't regret it at all. I'm 67.

So amazing! I had this implanted three weeks ago. I’m having bpm issues, but am not in actual afib. My watch has told me I’m anywhere from 40-136. I had breathing treatments and dexa shot at ED night before last, and my bpm was down to 70-102. Much better. I’m thinking the surgery caused some inflammation in my throat along with calcifications I have in my thyroid. Seeing ENT soon for that. It’s been an interesting ride, for sure.

I have and appointment in March to see if I can get it done. I have had 4stents and 5 bypass surgery in 2018, 2019 and want to get off Eliquis. I'm 80 years old.

My wife had this done this month and just got out of Miami Valley Hospital after having to return the second time with a hematoma at the site of injection and spending 4 days and could have died due to possible artery damage. I will not return to this hospital again (terrible staff/rude). Caution to anyone having this done!

My cardiologist tells me it is only for patients who can not have bloodthinners.

Will this procedure work if a person has a mechanical valve?

``Why doesn't a surgeon just cut off th atrial appendage and seal it off with the patient's own tissue?
