Preventing Strokes in Patients with Atrial Fibrillation
Показать описание
David Lee, MD, interventional cardiologist, discusses reducing the risk of stroke in Afib patients using a minimally invasive procedure called Left Atrial Appendage Closure. This procedure involves closing a small pocket in the heart, known as the left atrial appendage, so that blood can no longer pool and form clots. Stanford interventional cardiologists use this procedure to reduce the risk of stroke in Afib patients who are unable to use blood thinners.
