Yes, I know that it shows DeMar DeRozan instead of Damian Lillard. Try to forgive that mistake 😅.

Not going to the NBA is the best thing to happen to this guy.
He's now making a lot of money, but balling the way he likes to. Traveling the world, spreading his inspiration and positivity everywhere he goes.

The Professor is a great one-on-one player....but the NBA requires every other aspect of the game. Shouts out to the Professor though, man.

I have WAY more respect for a man that can make his own dream out of disappointment like Professor has done. What a scrapper! What a fighter! What a LEGEND!

I remember watching him play in highschool after school upstairs gym 3on3 and then seeing him at the skate park hr later playing and practicing his game and (what i thought at the time were un nesseccary) moves lol.
Truth is..
He was a hard working focused intelligent kind hearted kid who believed in himself enough to prove so many wrong.
He deserves every success God has given him.
Sincerely
Im proud of you you Gray

The fact is he made his way and continues doing so... He also teaches NBA guys currently so he has stuff to offer the game 🐐 for sure

NBA players certainly work harder than most who ever play basketball, but not more than many other players pursuing going pro. The deciding factor for this guy and the pros is performance, not work ethic. No amount of work can overcome the athletic, size, and execution requirements to make it in the NBA.

I have watched many Professor videos. I give the guy props for being able to make a living, living his dream, through basketball. I have seen an interview with the professor, with he, himself, more or less claiming the same reasons as this video: politics, circumstance, late blooming, etc. The NBA does not care if you played in the NCAA. Foreign, D-league, players are drafted now on the regular. The fact of the matter is, he does not have the requisite physical attributes to be an NBA player. His combination of physical mass, height, strength, quick twitch muscles, whatever...basically physics, do not meet the minimum requirement to play with the greatest of the great. Not a slight, I mean, what fraction of a percent of people actually can even play in the NBA? 0.001? 0.0001? Yet, the professor, with his limitations has been able to craft a life doing what he loves. Hats off, much props.

If he was good enough to be in the NBA, he'd be there. Same as anyone. Not difficult to understand.

I went to high school and college with this dude, that’s wild. I had no idea until he started mentioning the colleges and I went and checked The Professors age, that’s wild.

Short answer: his flashy game, handles, and plays arent whats needed in the NBA since they focus more on all-around play and efficiency

In Volleyball size is also a problem (when you take out the libero). When you're small you still can manage to run great offensive plays (Not topnotch but still good) but when it comes to defensive plays you pretty much cannot do a thing but getting overpowered by your opponent.

The Professor is incredible. What a great guy. Would never hate on him or intend disrespect, but there are a million great ball players who will never be pro.

Also? Even his avatar is of him carrying the ball 😉

I think what the professor did for the game is incredibly valuable, inspiring youngsters and living a life out of the glamour, on the streets, where real life is.

The biggest goat in basketball to never touch an nba court but he made his own legacy despite that. Can’t help but to love the guy

Dudes like 40 now, he is doing well for himself in his lane. Professor is amazing but he blows up reggies. Idk how he would fair against a nba baller

Much respect to the man's persiverence.
Street ball is the best thing for him. He carries too much to be in any prefessional or serious league. He is entertaining and successful in his own way nonetheless.

The dude is a one-on-one type of player. He's a great player as well, just not built for the NBA. Edit: I subscribed, you have a good channel dude.

When you mentioned examples on the small players, it really bothered me that u didn't mention Nate Robinson. He was 5 feet 9 inches tall and dunked in quite many of his games during his NBA carreer. But none the less, great video - Keep making bangers like this <3
