Have you ever tried to learn the intro to Stairway to Heaven only to find it too difficult to play? Trust me, you're not alone! This iconic riff is notorious for giving Zeppelin fans (especially beginners) a hard time!

Fortunately, we've worked out a much simpler version of this iconic riff that still holds true to the original. In short, it sounds amazing while being relatively simple to play!

Yeah it’s good for kids. I was 22 the first time I ever picked up a guitar. I have been playing for about a year. And one of my teachers taught me that intro to stairway to heaven. I didn’t really have enough strength in my fingers at that time, but I made myself work through it. It may have been hard but in the long run it was well worth it. I still play today 70 years old. I have been playing guitar for the last 49 years now next year will make 50 year’s . I’m just mostly grateful. I learned how to read music. Now I am a solo instrumental, guitarist. I play strictly finger style guitar. And I do pentatonic scales. Because some of the guitar solos and some of the songs require pentatonic, scales and stairway to heaven and Hotel. California are two of them. I’m glad somebody’s here to teach children you’re doing a wonderful work. Thanks for the video.👍🏼😁🎸 ❤️😎

This is wonderful. As a beginner, trying to gain some level of ability on the guitar, I vacillate between hope and frustration. This lesson, however, is perfect, and has enabled me to play a well-known riff with some semblance of skill.

Thank you.

this is awesome i thought it'd be months or even a year until i could play this intro because of the bar chords. but this has made it so in less than a week of playing i can get the intro down. still needs fine tuning of course ahha thankyou!

Youu might appteciate this and get a laigh. Fecsfes ago I was in Los Angeles and taling banjo lessons from Bill Knoph at The Blue Ridge Pickin Parlor, in the balley. Bored and aleays eanting to learn this tune on guitar I wondered if Joward Yearwood could yeach it to me but these huys were, odtly bluegras. He days ueah, I handed the piano, usic over and we take a room fown the hall. He struggle a little and with, y back to the door someone teaches over, y shoulder taling his guitar saying ...thats not how ots played. I swear I never looked but the giy played ot prrfect and handed ot back. Howard looked slightly stunned and I asked why. That eas Kimmy Page. Im not kidding here ...I asked who the hell Kimmy Paye is I was mever big into, emorizing names and half the time whistle a tune to someone on a music store instead pf lnowing the jame. So ... my dumbass got played to directly ny Jimmy and had mo clue who he was. Blue Todge had a bariety of velebs eho yrickled in and out. I was febating with a emmployee at the counter who was better looking, Vatjrine Nach or Em, y Lou Hartis and he had a fun y grin as the woman mext to me grinmed going through albums ..yeah, it was Emmy.
