I'm taking the CQE exam October 23rd and have been studying since March. I started with very little prior knowledge of statistics, and it has definitely been my greatest challenge. That tidbit about putting the statistics portion first is a gold nugget, and I highly recommend.

These are really good tips and I guess my weakest area is Statistics. I get confused in the following(s): when question mentions standard deviation or variance what symbol I pick "sigma" or "s" or which Hypothesis is to use, chi-square, t test, one tail or 2 tail, when to apply z test. And finally when comes to probability, which rule apply addition or multiplication, is condition dependent or independent. I am a fully time employee time is biggest challenge and my CQE is in April after Good Friday. Please help me.

I have a slightly different question to ask. I actually need a bit of guidance at this point. Does it matter if take the CMQ without taking the CQE certification?? or should I take CQE first before CMQ.

So, how do you create a study plan when the ASQ CQE materials are something to be read either on a computer screen or printing them out to read and absorb, with material that is not intuitively obvious, followed by a 11 question test. Should I do as the man in this video suggests and go right to statistics? And how do I do that when I must study each of the seven "chapters" and take a test and pass before going to the next chapter. Should I try until I pass each of these tests and then focus on statistics? I must I was not prepared for when my manager dropped this on three of us. And we are expected to complete it in 2.5 months. Any words of wisdom?

I have plan to take ASQ CQE examination in next 4 months. I have started studying but not registered yet or not booked exam date. I am thinking I will study as per my plan for next 3 months and then will book exam. Am I on the right track. I need your opinion.
