Sweet Potato Pone | A tasty Caribbean dessert!!

In this video I’m sharing my recipe for sweet potato pone, also known as sweet potato pudding. This is a sweet and spicy dessert that can be enjoyed with a cup of tea. I recommend using Caribbean sweet potatoes for this recipe as they have a firmer texture and will give a nice pone consistency.

Ingredients:

3 Caribbean sweet potatoes
1 cup all purpose flour
1 cup brown sugar
½ cup condensed milk
1 tbsp molasses
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon vanilla
½ tsp salt
½ tsp allspice
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp nutmeg
1 tsp ginger powder (or fresh)
1 ½ cup coconut milk
1 egg
