"What was your position during the war?"
"I'm camouflaging and sniping."
"A sniper?"
"Using a tank."

A "Hull Down" position, only provides the Turret, which houses the Gun to be used. Being Low and Smaller than the Tank, makes it a Harder Target to hit, leaving the Tank Protected. This Tactic also make it easier to provide Decoys. Any pile might be a Turret, causing the enemy to Fire at Any Pile, wasting Ammunition, and giving the Attacked a chance to fire, while the enemy is reloading.

We fought the wrong side, now we're going to have to fight the right side we should have listened to General Patton.

the main reason was German tanks could fire of range at least 5km vs 1km of Russians so they have to wait because of the Kursk environment there was no chance of taking cover so instead they let them come close the tank trench was for this

In short: Front turret armour is the strongest, so the tank is technically more armoured

There were very few heavys at kursk. Most had guns smaller than the T-34 in caliber. The southern pincer of the German assault actually penetrated all the defensive lines but had to stop because of exposed flanks. The northern didn't do as well because the commander saved most of his armor for the expected counter attack. The russians were lucky he did that.

The T34 usually had a 76mm gun, while the Germans had many 88mm. The Germans also had thicker armour on the front.

Present tanks have jcb buckets that could dig trenches in seconds to make entire regiment underground covered with camouflaged with greenery and branches by soldiers. Now robotic ai soldiers can also carry out the camoflaging at faster pace.

Actually, Tigers and Panthers was in minor amount at Kursk. There were about 250 Panthers, and 200 Tigers.
And more then 2000 Pz4 and Pz3.
Panthers had their own problem with transmissions.
Digging tanks is good tactics in defence, due to protection and camouflage.
And effective range of T34 gun was about 500-800m. Tiger, Ferdinand, and even Panther was better.
