Dwight wasn’t soft he just didn’t have that killer mentality. Melo had the killer mentality just couldn’t get past all the superstars that teamed up

Dwight was the most dominant center since Shaq. The disrespect he gets is outrageous.

The guy with the STL hat and yellow shirt is a good dude for bringing this up. Melo and Dwight are some of the greatest

It’s like that’s in the nfl as well ex the 90 buffalo bills went 4 superbowl in a row but people always called them the greatest losers and Bruce smith still holds the record for most sacks in nfl history but no one talks about him in the same light as Reggie white.

Kobe treated Dwight Howard like MJ treated Kwame Brown. That’s where the Dwight hate began. Dwight’s growth was stunted by injury. He was an absolute beast. Melo chose money with NY Knicks over winning in Miami. Can’t fault him for that cuz most of us would’ve done the same thing. I do not believe the Miami Heat would’ve lost in the 2011 finals if they had Melo.

Carmelo an Dwight are both hoopers no matter what anyone else has to say about them they both proved themselves in the nba its all the haters who dont like them an dont respect their game wich is why they get so much hate

Dwight was a defensive terror for almost a decade, and dragged mediocre teams to 55+ wins. Just because he’s goofy doesn’t diminish his greatness.

Melo just never got the right coach to harness him

Carmelo should've went out like a sucka and teamed up with other superstars while still in his prime to get easy chips cause nowadays that's what these lames respect.2 best players in the league both used the cheat code to stack chips and one gets called the GOAT n the other universally praised as a top 5 scorer of all time.lts no longer about climbing the mountaintop to glory just as long as u got it.Salute to Melo and Dwight for doing it their way.

The reason why you don't hear it as much in other sports is the fact that your individual effort matters more in basketball. The amount of plays that you can be the determining factor of a win is astronomical in comparison to other sports.

To me, much respect for their careers. HOFers indeed! Top ten at their positions.

Dwight is the reason why lakers won that year, he was able to slow down jokic

If you actually watched Dwight Howard in his prime you don’t have anything negative to say. Those years in Orlando he was top 3 or 5 players in the league some of those seasons. A couple of those seasons it was him Kobe and lebron.

When people talk about what you could have been or what you could have done… it means they know how good you really are. I see it as a half praise half critique.
Dwight has a ring. Don’t really know what they want more from him. He always seemed like a nice guy too.

Yes, 9/10 basketball fans/hoopers are negative or for the most part straight out toxic and in the comment sections anywhere else on youtube it's normally never this bad.

I never doubted melo was a spectacular one on one scorer, but I always had the feeling that there were other more efficient scorers than him ie brandon Roy, even Jamal Crawford

Because the media always control the narative about them carmelo even though he was a HOF and Top 75 the media calls him never have a ring, ball hog, and rarely played defense. For dwight howard first 10 year in his career he was monster until he requested a trade to lakers and has a back problem. Because of this the next 10 years of his career was regress plus a bad habit consuming foods, and childlish character in front of media and in the locker room from teammate the damage was done and cannot been fixed
