FYI ...
You have threaded the all incorrectly.
The grove in the needle and the shaft, is for guiding the thread to the eye of he needle.
the thread doesn't flow over the Chuck.

Well...thank you for this video, I just unpackaged my speedy awl and found the instructions a bit limiting. I miss understood when to gauge the length and that was a catastrophe, then I didn't know how to finish off the stitch, sew thank you for that. As far as the chuck and how to thread it, who cares? It worked just the same lol.
