I worked at the local Honda shop after school at age 18. The owner called me over the intercom to hurry and get the forklift the CBX's are here! Put one together we're all going to ride it! I assembled the CBX, put gas in it, started it. Pulled out, all the guys and the owner were standing in front of me.The owner told me to take my helmet off so I wouldn't go fast. We had been hearing stories about the biggest bike for over a year. I was probably more excited than anyone. Taking off, the back tire broke loose started to oversteer at the same the front wheel comes off the pavement a few inches. After some motocross tecnique body English, I was able to click through the gears without backing off the throtle, The CBX continued to break the rear tire loose and a low wheelie through 2nd & 3rd gears going up to around 165mph, the wind pushed all the water out of my eyes. I didn't let it bother me not having my helmet. That was the fastest motorcycle had ever ridden, lots of torque & high rpm. The CBX lived up to its predictions.

Thanks for posting this video . I`m a 59 yo male from Nova Scotia Canada . I love the two strokes myself as I have a 1973 RD350 that I bought when I was 15 years old . Also have a 2000 Honda Fireblade that I ride and go on shorts tours around the east coast . That was an awesome BMW, $200K !!

I have a 1963 Honda 305 road racer, one like the one I built and raced back in the 60's in my bedroom here in Hawaii.
I'm in a wheelchair 83 years young and still at it. Aloha Nui Loa.
