We can build skyscrapers, we can send rockets into space, we can cure many things. But we can't keep track of football game time.🤦‍♂️🤦‍♀️

This is a great rule . 90 % of injuries are faked to waste time and the dramatics omg. Some players fall down like they have been tomahawked. A minute later they will be sprinting like Usain Bolt to save their team.

The time wasting is out of hand. When the rolling around on the ground, faking injuries, etc. it makes the players in the game look bad.

Some players do fake injuries to waste time and it’s really frustrating especially when your team is losing. But what I think would the best idea: is to stop the clock whenever the ball goes out and whenever the referee blows the whistle, that’s how the Australian Football League is and it’s perfect.

Would have preferred they worked on VAR consistency than worrying about time wasting.

Players will stop time wasting once they realise it gets added back on. Martinez for villa received 8 yellow cards last season for time wasting.

Fergie would have LOVED it. +15 minutes of Fergie time 😂

Newcastle won't like this new rule

It was such a nice surprise when they introduced this new format. For years I've been irritated by players who give away a foul and then walk off with the ball, or knock it away but don't get booked. Now they'll either stop that or they'll end up losing because of the added time they caused

Every team that's winning a game wastes time. Stevie can't be wrong once he starts a rant, it was spoken about loads last season

Go watch Newcastle vs Arsenal last season and tell me this isnt justified. 53 minutes the ball was in play. 10 of that was at Pope's feet. As a fan paying $25 a month I felt cheated.

There wasn't any intentional time wasting in the world cup. Maybe the rule works even if everyone hates it.

Nicol never ever wants any changes. Pointless to ask the guy.

No wonder Ale is not against time wasting

I absolutely love the new added time rules with the sheer amount of time wasting. A premier league game averaged 50-56 min of active play when the ball is on the field is beyond crazy at this point in the premier league, its time to add time.

The nonsense about slowing the game down is pure sophistry we all know its time wasting especially when the keeper does it.

I'm in support of it. Players mustn't waste time. Lots of teams will now find themselves conceding in the 100th minute because they faked injuries or their players were taking long to walk off the pitch.

I get both sides, but teams do waste time and it is extremely frustrating as a fan. You're watching your team play, maybe they're down by a goal or it's tied and the other team just wastes time to try to get points. It's annoying, and it definitely happens.

Just stop the clock. And restart after whatever incident.

We don’t pay money to watch a team time wasting … we pay money to watch football … otherwise we can start watching cricket

Great idea. Will stop players with the theatrical dark arts.
