I'm a housekeeper. We have a uniform and there's no restrictions on tattoos, piercings, or hair color.
I work in a health and rehab facility so I also work with a lot of nurses, CNAs and administrative staff. None of those positions seem to have restrictions on tattoos or hair color either.
Do they think we can't wear uniforms and don't have any work clothes something??
Everyone I know, even people who aren't any kind of alt, have casual clothes and then separately have work clothes.

There are very very few jobs that restrict what you can wear outside of work or whether you can have tattoos/piercings or not.
Back in the day it was a bigger problem. But it hasn't been for a really long time now. At least a decade.
And even then there are makeups to cover tattoos and piercings can be taken out during work hours.

Im a thrift store cashier. Cant say what chain, but sometimes im a little rebellious and break the dress code to accommodate a more alternative look. I always get compliments when i do lol. I get a lot of alternative people passing through ❤❤ i love seeing all the creativity.

I’m gonna be a teacher but currently in student teaching and I have a couple of tattoos but one of them is a memorial tattoo of my brother and I love when kids are interested in the story’s behind me punk-ish hair and my tattoos! It helps them realize that no matter what we look like we all have a story behind us! And that is the most important lesson I can ever teach!
