Great to see youre taken on this monster experiment, will be great to see how Frikkie and Koos get along, they are looking great already. No doubt you'll end up with your 'Monster Dorset Naga' plant and have 1, 000's of pods. Bring on the sun and heat.

I was also inspired by the Seaspring Seeds video of that massive Dorset Naga plant. In her video she said it was treated the same as her other plants and she used chicken manure pellets and then her regular fertilising schedule. This year I went a bit overboard with the ratios of chicken manure and have set my plants back and damaged quite a few. Big lesson learnt! Don’t over do it 🙄 Looking forward to seeing the progress of your monster plants Shawn. Best of luck 👊

I miss my Dorset Naga plant. The very first chili i ever had, kept it alive for 4 years, and it sparked a nearly insane love of the growing of chilis. Im now in the startings of trying to grow a massive Carolina Reaper in my living room in a kratky setup. Love your chan Chumpy, cheers from Sweden!

Stoltman bros also say stay spicy. A crossover would be awesome.

Ahh amazing I bought seeds from the lady who grew Nigel.
I met her at the Wisley garden flower show and bought seeds from her market stand. I'm currently growing 6 different chilli plants, one being the Dorset Naga. I remember taking about Nigel with her. Small world.

Awesome looking plants inside the comfort of your greenhouse Shaun! If only I were in the UK, I would be very interested in a hop on over to see your operation first hand. But alas the internet may offer the continued virtual tours as your schedule permits. Cant wait to see the growth of Frikkie & Koos throughout the season. Stay Spicy! -Bob...

This year, in my flat, I've got an habanero chili that I started growing in Spring 2021, in a 12L pot. Last year it stayed low and bushy, giving me flowers but no peppers. However, this year, it decided to grow close to 2 meters high, making big branches reaching high up, and it's forming a bunch of peppers already. I simply don't get it, perhaps it's what happens when you overwinter them at home.

As always, an amazing video. I tried to plant my own chillies this year, bought seeds online and now i have tomatoes growing. There is a lesson there.

Being from texas, the chile pequin grows wild as a perennial. They twine through the mesquite and underbrush to the tops of trees sometimes 10+ feet high. When they die back even dyring freezes; they come back from the stalks. I had 1 for 3 years that survided an ice storm and came back from the stem. I had several in my red tips that grew beyond their height, at least 7 feet.

Brilliant! Looking forward to seeing the progress. I have a 100l pot so might try one of our plants in a big pot. I used 30l pots last year bigger than usual and the plants were much bigger’

Yes! I buy my seeds from seaspring seeds. I've always wanted to do that experiment to see what the optimum is for my favourite varieties, will I get more from 5 10 L pots or 1 50 L etc so will be watching carefully!

loving this! I have thought about trying to grow a monster plant. Possibly by planting indoors earlier or carrying a plant over from this season and not letting it go dormant.

Ha - great to see you trying this. Best of luck! I’m glad I deciphered the hint you dropped on one of your winter livestreams about the Dorset naga and ordered seeds! Mine is in a 30l pot, the largest I’ve got. The Naga Morich did well in the same conditions last year.
