Time for some ORCHESTRAL-CRUNCH-RAVE! "DAR, you madman, what are you even talking about?!" some of you may ask. Well, I don't know what it was about this one specific song, but something just gelled really well with me when I worked on this.

Also, I'd like to give special thanks to darkknight1235 for requesting this amazing track! (I hope that this version was the right one, since I do know that there's another version that plays during the final phase of the boss fight)

I wanted to really make this match the tone of it being the final boss battle. So I figured, "Well, you gotta have orchestral stuff for something epic, right?" so I tried to capture a powerful and emotional sound when it came to things on that front.

Then I also figured that drawing some inspiration from electronic music would be an excellent choice to give it that upbeat energy and pep!

Lastly, I absolutely had to throw in some heavy guitars and bass, along with an improvised guitar solo, to give it that awesome crunch and end!

I really did decide to throw everything into one song! I think this is probably one of my largest covers I've worked on. I think I used around 30 or more tracks/channels while working on this one. Channels for the usual stuff like drums, bass, rhythm guitar, and lead guitar. Then channels for the horn section, strings, piano, gongs, tam tam's, timpani (kettle drum), bass drums, harp, dulcimer, wind chime, midi acoustic guitar, and a few channels dedicated to electric drums. I also finally got a chance to finally make use of the Shamisen and Koto soundfonts I have! Anyways, there were also the channels for the various synths. So yeah, there was A LOT of stuff packed into this one.

This one also has several tempo changes (the most I've had in a cover yet!). From 136 to 150, to 153, to 140, to 150, to 153, and finally back to 140! Overall, its a tad slower than the original, since I felt that these tempos just felt good to me.

I also decided to try a couple of different things this time for the video. Rather than doing what I usually do, I wanted to try and make this video more "aesthetically pleasing" I guess you could say. First by recording and rendering in 60 frames-per-second (a first for me!), to get that smoothness and fluidity. Then also approaching my guitar-playing overlay differently. I felt that my normal method just didn't quite fit the look and feel of this cover. So, I went with a blended-in, glowing, neon outline for that, since I thought it looked really cool!

I also had a lot of fun recording the guitar parts for the video. It was quite the workout too at times! Parts like the little guitar dance at 2:21 especially wore me out.

Anyways, I hope you guys all enjoy this one and I hope it was worth the wait! ~DAR
