I cannot find fresh cultivated Chinese water chestnuts anywhere near me as of yet. I’m always searching for them though. Sadly all I can get my hands on is canned Chinese water chestnuts. It’s probably nothing like a fresh one but some day I will find out lol. Thank you for your videos. I am inspired to grow some if I can find them.

Cool Upload my buddy, water chestnuts, i've seen them during Christmas at the supermarket, but I had no idea they're a root crop! Seeing the 'nuts' inserted in their name, I had assumed they were a tree species of nut. Uprated, thanks for sharin' !

I wonder if putting them in boiling water for a minute would soften the skin and make it easier to peel?

Jeff, Did you keep the box flooded when they were growing or did you just water them like a normal plant?
