It is a swap and display meet, for 1967 and earlier Volkswagen buses only, held at Long Beach Veteran’s Memorial Stadium, Long Beach, CA. The VW Bus people are the best!!! I have been to some of those meetings not only in North America but in South America as well, and I can tell you that they are the most fun and interesting people in the classic car universe.

Back in the day, I drove VW buses for about a decade. I started with a '67 (lost in a minor crash), replaced it with a '68 ($1000 buy) and then finally bought a '72. I loved driving them and made a couple cross country trips. They made great vehicles for weekend hang gliding and camping trips to the mountains.

Some of the stickers on the window of these busses tell you when and where the bus has been in it's travels. I saw one once that had something like 30 stickers, and it was owned by someone for a very long time. The owner also had a mileage book, and maintenance book. In the busses travels, the total miles traveled was over 750, 000. It was a split window 1965 bus with stickers in the windows for each stop it made on it's travels where they sold the stickers.
