The fact that you said "tooting" makes me love you.

Waist training or anything tight is bad for those with hyperacidity

her waist isn’t necessarily “ tiny”, she got a bbl and breast implants which can explain her shape

Of course it’s her choice, but that just looks painful.

There's a clear line between what is beautiful and what is inhumane.

I remember doing this for a while! At some point one of my legs went numb and my doctor said I probably had pinched a nerve somewhere in my torso and to stop using the corsets. I stopped and feeling came back within about 24 hours. Haven’t used it since because it isn’t worth it.

There seems to be confusion, and I’m just now getting notifications months later so I’ll just make an edit: -I didn’t make it too tight. I wasn’t new to it and I also was fitted to this corset specifically. I eventually just developed nerve issues and my doctor and I found out about it because of the numbness in my leg. It exacerbated the issue.
-I did the corseting it when I was around 24, so I wasn’t a child with no idea what I was doing. I also do NOT support corsets (except the medical corsets prescribed by doctors) for children.
-Your uterus CANNOT just fly out of your body, by lacing a corset too tightly as Jake Huffman says in their comment below. It can be moved and over time (a very long time full of consistent wear and too tight lacing) be pushed down, which can be an issue requiring an internal sling to be surgically inserted to hold it back into position but that’s rare. If it could just FLY OUT, then there would have been many more reported cases of that.
-Women back in the day had an average of a 20”-23” waist which was cinched down to 16”-18”. These were tight lace corsets. Normally, corsets are just worn to give a bit of shape.
-Not EVERY woman who did it back in the day had a deformed skeleton. It happened, of course, but not to every single last woman.

Question: Why did I want a smaller waist?
Answer: Insecurity and social media portraying women with waists as tiny as their necks, and seeing how they were praised for their “body goals” (photoshop), and how they were found desirable because of their extreme, almost cartoonish hourglass body shape. I felt like I needed to have that to be attractive. My waist isn’t naturally very wide by any means but social media, over years and years, especially during my formative years as a teen, conditioned my mind to feel like that was the only acceptable way to exist as a woman.

Wear, and lace, your corsets cautiously.

note the warping in the background. she probably had a BBL and then slapped a filter on top to make her proportions look even crazier. waist trainers won't change you this drastically

I love wearing corset for several reasons, from looking slim temporarily, feeling warm, to helping my posture when sitting (so I don't slouch). But it's never for having a smaller waist permanently. It scares me how her proportions are very uncanny

I waist train because I wanted to go from a 26 inch waist to 24 and I felt I was more rectangular looking. In my opinion- I believe it works, but you need a steel boned waist trainer and you need to be consistent with it. Patience is also key (It's obviously not an overnight fix)- if done incorrectly, it can be dangerous (as with anything).

These are great for diastasis recti. The latex and cotton ones with flexible boning, made for working out, are the only reason my abs have come back together in the middle. This example is drastic, but they really can give you quality of life and self confidence back. It makes such a difference to have working abs again and no weird bump jutting out from the middle of my stomach. So happy for waist trainers 🥰💞💝
My twins are 3yrs and 3 months old and I finally closed all but maybe 2 inches of my diastsis recti. Only the belly button area left separated a little now 🥳

Corsets aren’t bad if you just get a good one that is right for you and wear something under it. Karolina Zebrowska is a good place to learn about corsets I think.

We've know about the complications of waist training since like 1890 with weak pelvic floors you can litteraly squeeze out your uterus. You can squeeze your liver so hard into your ribs it leaves indentations on it and several other things

I love my waist trainer and I love the way I look now. I have always been in good shape as I workout at least 5 times per week but I looked more like a “ruler” than an hourglass. I feel much more feminine now. I am not extreme and I don’t plan on going smaller than my current 28” waist size. I am so happy that I tried it!

just so you guys know, since this is sort of related, corsets aren’t the same as waist trainers. if you don’t lace them tightly, and you get the right kind for your body, they can actually be very comfortable and correct me if i’m wrong but i don’t believe they were ever intended for the thing waist trainers are
