I just Purchased a set of rear tail lights for my W124 Mercedes 300E and I agree with you. The quality is just as good as the OEM. The plastics definitely didn't feel thin or cheap. Thanks for the Vid!

I bought a set of Depo's for my 8 after watching this video. The style didn't end up working for my tastes (graphite grey) and I went with JDM Evo 7 tails. That being said, I couldn't be more pleased with the depo tail light quality. Perfectly good, and you really don't notice anything wrong with them.

Very good review. How are the lenses holding up in enruards to UV fading?

Depo is under rated bro...tho I will say the film on the lens peels a bit after a really long amount of sun..if they had better anti uv lens tech they would be top of retro or aftermarket lighting for cars, , i nevermind complaints of perfectly str8 glue lines, "it's still glued dude"...things I really don't have time to observe but the material used is good materials..I have owned Japan and German cars and depo is astrong 8.5 if not 9..always room for improvement, but for the dollar spent, , u can't beat em

I just got some DEPO lower fog lights for my 2003 Passat 1.8 wagon...I have not switched them over yet but I will be interested in comparing them with the OEM’s... So car in the hand they feel pretty good.

From a distant you dont notice it. But up close you do. At the same time it pisses me off cause I dont like imperfection when I buy something new. But the same goes with body kits too. Shit never comes out perfect unless its stock, or internals parts.

Those are Depo JDM 8 MR tails because they're FLAT black housing. JDM 9 MR tails are BLACK CHROME housings.

Understand that it is an exterior piece but to some people, it is a must to keep it as original as possible. You can't go wrong with oem since they have quality control process which is the reason why they cost so much. Sure depo makes similar product, the integrity of the product is not there; hence it is cheaper. You might get lucky with a pair with a good seals. But most people have experienced the bad quality of this particular products, that's why they recommended the noobs to go buy the real thing. But if you don't care much about being legit then by all mean go buy depo and megan...you own an evo and not honda. So buy some real parts. None of that fake, on the budget bullshit. Save up and get something that in the long run you will be happy and proud of what you purchased and the way your car will look. Just an advice.

I got my OEM JDM IX Tails for $600 brand new last year. And the ones in the video are JDM 8 reps, not 9.

ummm... No, super clean??? First that is NOT a JDM 9 tail, matt finish is from an 8! xD And did you even bother to really compare and scrutinize the Stanley and the depo ones??? I own an authentic jdm and depo tails. You can see CLEARLY see the difference in quality of the two! The depo side glues is not done neatly, it had some mess here and there. And oem stanley ones have those micro circle on the lens. Surprised a car guy like you didn't notice that... or you didn't really compared them? hehe
Depos are made in Taiwan BTW (better than china ones).
