Dr. Dray, I've been using that Salicylic Body Spray from Differin that you recommended a while back. It has a little Glycolic acid in it as well. I haven't had acne on my body in over 6 months now!

I use the Ordinary glycolic acid almost everyday with tretinoin every other night. I’m 47 and I started this routine 3 years ago and my skin looks better than it did in my 30’s. I use a few other things, but I attribute how my skin looks to those two products. I’ve never had great skin and now I do, it’s crazy! Great video Dr Dray!! And yes I had to work up to using both products over about 6-9 mos.

I have used salysilic acid 2% since high school (I'm now 59) and still use it. My skin loves it and responds so well without any irritation. I do have some hyperpigmentation (no sunscreen in my 20's & 30's) and will try incorporating glycolic acid as well. I just started using vitamin C under my sunscreen in the a.m. Thank you for all you do to educate us. I have learned so much and use many of your recommended products! ❤

I like Glycolic acid more, it helped me with hyperpigmentation and my acne more than salicylic acid.

That is the best video of what salicylic acid and glycolic acid do. You went through the details here and I really find it instructive and useful. I know there's a bunch of videos explaining the differences between those two but this one is absolutely clear and easy to follow from the beginning to the end. Thanks Dr. Dray 😊😊

I love using The Ordinary 5% Lactic Acid under the eyes. I only do this, maximum once per week at night because I know it can cause irritation if used too often. I have sensitive skin and I haven't had any issues using it under the eyes. It really makes a difference in the texture and smoothness of the under eye area. I really notice a difference when I apply makeup and eye creams. I also use Lactic Acid on my face and neck and have had great results! Sometimes I will alternate the 5% and 10% for my face, but I ONLY use the 5% under my eyes. I also like Glycolic Acid, but it really can cause irritation for me, so I tend to stick with the Lactic Acid. P.S. I tried the Biossance Lactic Acid serum, and I couldn't keep it on more than 5 minutes due to the burning (fragrance). I've never had irritation with The Ordinary Lactic Acid leaving it on overnight. It's an excellent product!! Highly recommend!

As someone who suffers with an oily scalp and dry hair, it's been really helpful to repurpose my salicylic acid body spray for use on my scalp as a leave-on. It really helps to cut down on the oil and helps me go longer between washes.

Glycolic acid can be a little harsh on my skin but at the same time I find it to be very effective. I use it about once a week when I feel my skin getting to be a little textured or congested, and the next day, it feels smooth and baby soft again.

I replaced my deodorant with glycolic acid. It's amazing. I don't use it everyday. I heard your warning and will definitely keep a close eye out for irritation!

I am using the Korean A'pieu (blue: Gly/Salic). It removed red marks on my cheeks. Affordable.

I just learned that the Paula's choice 10% AHA has buffering ingredients that make it a very weak acid. No wonder I can use it on my sensitive skin! This was an informative video. Thank you!

This is the first straight forward explanation I've heard regarding these acids & I appreciate it so much! Now, I know which one I'd rather use. It is good to know that glycolic acid can actually help with collagen production, yay! Thank you! 💖

They way I’ve come to rely on Dr. Dray is concerning yet rewarding. NOTHING touches my face before I get Dr. Dray’s opinion on it. I trust her with my skin’s life.

I’m a glycolic acid girl! I have dry skin and clogged pores around my chin. It works well for me. Salicylic acid has always been too drying for me.

Salicylic acid never did anything for me, lol. I love Glytone (glycolic acid) gentle cleanser though and can use it every day even with tretinoin. It’s made such a difference for me, both anti-aging and adult acne.

Great video, cleared up so much. I tried a glycolic acid face wash 3 years ago and got a burn that left hyperpigmentation and have since moved on to salicylic and lactic acid. I use glycolic on my chest, back, knees and elbows only.
