This was a very fair judgment. She handled this case very well. Also the daughter was coached for sure we know judge Judy saw right through that.

Daughter was definitely coached. "I looked both ways, that's all I know, " is essentially what she said.

The cuteness of Journey did not blind JJ from making a fair judgement. She held the parents accountable.

Unfortunately in the US everyone feels entitled to sue. Having a little girl run out on the street is an unfortunate accident. Fortunately, he was driving slowly and carefully. This is more of what I call a life lesson.

I’ve coached and taught 7 year olds enough to know that when they’re excited enough, they don’t look both ways before darting across the street. That family is so fortunate that the defendant wasn’t driving any faster. If any good comes out of this, I hope it’s that the daughter now double checks that it’s extra safe before crossing the road.

I love Journey’s little smirk when the judge says, “that’s for her, not you”😂

The little girl gave the parents the look, "You heard her, that's my money." lol

once again Judge got it right, $1000 was generous since it was the parents who are at fault.

This was such an enjoyable case to watch. No unnecessary screaming from either part, no rambling on for ages, no disrespect towards the judge. And judge judy was more than fair, the parents are responsible for this accident too

This young man is a very well spoken and responsible person who was honest. These parents need to accept their portion of the responsibility and watch their daughter more carefully next time.

I've never heard "yes ma'am" said so many times lol. The level of respect and decency was HIGH for this case!

Judge Judy had a soft spot for Journey's cuteness. She knew Journey was hella coached to say what she did. It sounded rehearsed ASF. LOL! If Journey was older, Judge Judy would say "YOU'RE FIBBING! If you had looked both ways, you would have seen the car coming and not walk out in front of it to get hit, unless you wanted to die or create drama."

Judge Judy made complete sense! Her ruling was honest and fair. And tbh, I blame the parents 100%! Yes, the driver should have never took his eyes off the road, but the parents should have been watching her the entire time! And the little girl is so beautiful and precious! Oh and btw, the parents CLEARLY coached their daughter to say "I looked both ways." GIRL/BOY, BYE!

This was a very tough case. Well done JJ!! The defendant didn't mean to hurt the 7 year old girl, thank God she's alive and well.

I loved how respectful and well spoken both parties were. That's rare on this show.

I'm impressed by the maturity, responsibility, and professional demeanor both parties exhibited. They all seem like such wonderful people.

This sweet little girl is so very precious. I couldn't imagine how the parents or even the driver must have felt when this tiny little human got hit by a vehicle, I know that was the worst feeling ever. I'm so glad she didn't suffer any long term effects. She's just an absolute doll, so glad she's doing well! 💛
