The fucked up thing about the name changing is that it made more sense back in the day when ONLY CHAMPIONS were allowed to play in the competition to call it the CHAMPIONS LEAGUE but it was called the EuropeanCup instead. Nowadays you don't have to be a champion to be in the competition yet they call it the ChampionsLeague when it would make more sense now to be called the EUROPEAN CUP!
