The problem with your Games Workshops Warhammer 40k Army is how do you transport your miniatures without damaging them? Today we solve that problem for $15! In this DIY video guide I show you how to make a cheap miniature transport case for your Warhammer 40k army, Age of Sigmar Army or Lord of the Rings Army for the Middle Earth Strategy Battle Game from Games Workshop. I will show you how to magnetise your Warhammer 40k miniatures and how to build your own cheap carry case. This is allot safer than using the Citadel figure case which uses foam inserts that can easily damage weaker miniatures. You can use this stratergy to magnetise miniatures for storage and transport for Malifaux, Bolt Action, Infinity, Star Wars Legion, Frostgrave and A Song of Ice and Fire Tabletop Miniature game!

Super video with almost every tipp you need to know... except the ONE. Don't stick the magnets too close to the edge of the base. That could end up in moving Miniatures on the gaming table. 😁

Exactly the way I did my storage after seeing Duncan Rhodes did a similar tutorial.

They also sell a 9L XL box that has an extra tall lid section which means you can transport 2 imperial knights and 2 Armigers in 1 box and you can get a magnetic whiteboard from wilko that is perfectly sized to be cut into 4 rectangles so you that are stronger then those magnetic rubber pads and are only £2.50

Nice Video. This is the third or fourth video I have seen using this basing system. you go into several details that the others missed. You are also the only one to suggest using the box top and sides to maximise storage and fix the issue with pike and banner models. Well done.

Great video. Additional tip, if you have light weight minis on small bases, using smaller weaker magnets will stop them attracting/sticking to each other when on the tabletop. But you need metal sheets to give a strong enough attraction.

That beginning, you're INSANE for doeing that. I don't care if you thought it was solid lol

I did a test here in France to make the same box, and if you have to buy all the products, at the end you paid €89 ^^ not really a solution for $15 but it's really a good idea anyway

I’ve had these same boxes for years but have been procrastinating on buying the stuff to magnetize it because I didn’t want to waste money on something that wouldn’t work; thank you for making this video!

I came to exactly the same conclusion for transport. Been super happy with it for years now. Great vid.

This exactly how I magnetise my mini storage. Using the exact same boxes and magnetic sheets too. It works really well.

Thanks so much for this video. Was looking on how to put my banner bearer in. And didn't think of it. Then boom you had the answer

the adhesive sheets are 23 dollars for 3 so i think your pricing is a bit off, green stuff is another 14, magnets are at least 50+ for a 2k army plastic box under 10 .

Been doing the same exact thing except I actually cut down some sheet metal to fit in those boxes! You get a very strong magnetic connection. Sheet metal may be cheaper than other solutions here if you already have a way of cutting it!

Pop rivets are my go-to for attaching metal to the box bottoms.

Ferrous sheets are better than magnetic sheets, Magnetic Displays do sheets cut to size to fit RuB's 4L and 9L boxes, Rymans is the best place for Multi-buys for Really Useful Boxes (last time I checked anyway)

Great video, nicely done - hope it helps lots of figure-heavers. Well done on covering lots of points of detail.

Now do cat-magnetising.
